Thoughts while out walking Long Logs & Agate House Trails, a 3 mile loop trail ...
What an amazing walk!
Walking on sacred ground.
Layers of color, browns, and reds, and grays.
Layers of soil, laid down over time, growth of Earth.
Walking on sacred ground.
Wait.
What isn’t sacred?
What makes something sacred?
When does sacred begin?
Is it due to human presence?
Whose?
Yours? Mine?
Someone, anyone special?
Are you sacred?
Are you not sacred?
Is sacred due to something you recognize within yourself?
Is it separate, something to do with the Earth?
Is it unity of you and Earth?
Is it now? Is it always with you?
Your being? Your essence?
Every step you take along a path is, in reality, sacred.
Your awareness is required.
Where you look, how you look, when you look, is important.
You need to be important to you.
Blowing grass dances in the wind.
Pieces of petrified rock, seemingly everywhere.
I feel and I saw a presence, a shadow fly by in an instant, then gone.
Long logs.
Long logs and log chunks, as if cut into segments of various sizes, like firewood.
Smaller pieces, like stones, boulders.
Smaller and smaller pieces, down to the size of pebbles.
All scattered on the land, on the soil.
Where do animals fit in?
Where do other people fit in?
Family?
Friends?
Community?
Sacred relationships, sacred interactions, sacred integrations.
Is the sky involved, how vast it is?
Sky, Clouds, Stars?
Weather. Where does weather fit in?
The wind is fierce. Steady 25 mph.
Blue skies, hardly a cloud.
Gorgeous sunshine.
Wow. It’s like, wow!
Sacred weather at any given moment.
Good weather, bad weather, challenging weather.
Weather, a challenge to us at times.
Despite it, we take it.
Oh. It can make the activity special.
Hardship somehow enhances the experience.
Like right now.
Woody stemmed bushes.
Tumbleweed bushes.
Mormon tea.
Prickly pear.
Where do plants, where does vegetation fit it?
Are plants sacred?
What else?
Millions of years, is it time that makes it sacred?
Is now not sacred?
Is each moment sacred, each second?
Is sacred beyond time?
There’s always more, sacred is infinite.
Is it beyond infinite?
Infinite, does that infer time?
A beginning without an end?
Is sacred timeless?
Sacred spirit.
Winding through all.
Through any conduit that is open.
You are a conduit.
Are you open?
