Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area

Three loops of the Scenic Drive, 51 miles, 4800 feet climbing, lots of fun & games! It is a challenging ride in a place of beauty. There is plenty of 10%+ grades. The road surface is great the entire loop. It is one-way traffic on a two lane road! The first five miles is mostly climbing, then there is some up and down for a couple miles, then mostly downhill. I took much more time than was needed, as I stopped often to enjoy the scenery. There were rock climbers to watch in a couple areas. I was told at the campground that Red Rock is second to only Yosemite for rock climbing in the States. It is also a destination for mountain biking! And, when I go to my campsite, there was a bonus. Someone had left six bundles of firewood! I have been making good use of it!
