Although Moab is know for its mountain biking trails and environment, I have learned there can be a great deal of fun and excitement on a road bike as well. I arrived at Goose Island Campground on Wednesday (4/26) and began several days of riding, having reserved my site for seven days. There is a paved bike path that passes the campground. One can take the path north on a route that parallels RT 191. It is a ten mile ride from the campground to where the bike path intersects with RT 313, which in turn leads to Canyonlands Island in the Sky District. The path also passes right by Arches National Park. I did a bike ride through Arches in November.
