February 4-14, 2026 Boardwalk connecting the campground and beach ... Fort Pickens Campground was an easy drive, five-hundred miles from Savannah to Gulf Islands National Seashore. I left at 7AM and arrived in Gulf Breeze, the small town near the entrance of the park, around 4PM. There’s a change from eastern to central time along the way, so it was a ten hour drive.
